Puppetry for Parents: Using Puppets in the Home to Make Meaningful Connections
October 19October 25, 2019Puppetry can be used as an amazing tool for interaction, pretend play, communication, and more. Led by professional puppeteer and Jim Henson Foundation Manager Lindsey "Z." Briggs, participants will learn the basics of performance and technique as well as discuss ways to utilize puppets within the home to build emotional connections. Puppets can be especially effective with children on the autism spectrum and children with developmental delays. Each participant will receive their own puppet to take home. The workshop is intended for parents and caregivers.
