Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me
With director James Keach in person
Presented in partnership with CNN Films Presents
Dir. James Keach. 2014, 104 min. Digital projection. This documentary portrait of American music icon Glen Campbell takes us into the world of the singular talent who created hits like “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Wichita Lineman,” and “Gentle on My Mind.” In 2011, when Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, the Campbell family embarked on a short “Goodbye Tour” that turned into an emotional and triumphant 151-show nationwide tour de force. This epic human drama follows Campbell and his wife Kim as they confront his illness, chronicling a story of love, resilience, and the power of song. "This simultaneously heartbreaking and joyful doc provides a fitting capstone to an extraordinary musical career." (The Hollywood Reporter).
