Happiness Confessions is a short-film series by Marcelo Bukin that features some of the world’s top thinkers in the science of happiness. These world-class experts share their life lessons, ideas, and hardships, reflecting on how to experience true happiness. In this special event, Mo Gawdat, the subject of one of the episodes, will discuss his experiences and mission in life. Directed by Marcelo Bukin and produced by Thierry Daher, the series features interviews with Vicente Fox, Former President of Mexico; Tal Ben Shahar, Ph.D, author and speaker; and Mo Gawdat, former Chief Business Officer of Google[x], author and founder of #onebillionhappy; among others. The screening of the series (ten episodes, total running time 25 mins.) is followed by a panel and audience discussion featuring Gawdat; Daher, Founder of Positive Solutions, filmmaker and technology entrepreneur; and director and creator Marcelo Bukin.

About Mo Gawdat: Mo Gawdat is the former Chief Business Officer of Google[x], the best-selling author of Solve for Happy and the founder of #onebillionhappy. Google[x] is the company’s “moonshot factory” responsible for some of Google’s most audacious projects, such as self-driving cars and a balloon-powered global internet. Before he joined Google[x], Gawdat was one of the leading drivers in Google’s global expansion, starting and running the offices of the company in 50 countries. But when his 21-year-old son Ali died during a routine surgical operation in 2014, Mo turned to the “happiness equation” they had worked on together, in an attempt to come to terms with his tragic loss. His 2017 book, Solve for Happy (translated in 30 languages), reveals the theories supporting his equation and is the first step in Gawdat’s “moonshot project” to make one billion people happy.
