Richard Donner’s Superman origin-story film, starring Christopher Reeve in the role of Superman, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. To spare their infant son from the destruction of Krypton, Superman's parents send him on a spaceship to earth. Adopted by the Kents, the future Superman spends his youth as the nerdy, but incredibly strong and fast, Clark Kent. After moving to Metropolis he must find a balance between his super powers and living a normal life, while trying to win the love of reporter Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). Recommended ages 8 and up.
