Screening & Live Event
Going South
Saturday, January 19, 2019, 4:00 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Bartos Screening Room
Dir. Dominic Gagnon. Canada. 2018, 104 mins. The second part of a planned tetralogy exploring the cardinal points of the internet in the post-truth era, Going South sees Dominic Gagnon sifting through the arcana of YouTube and riffing on notions mortal and ephemeral, geographical southerliness and metaphorical descents, and everything in between. Visit with Flat Earth theorists, thrill-seeking vacationers, tropical cataclysms, ardent Vloggers, career exhibitionists, and dystopian PR campaigns on a journey ingeniously scored with sonic overlaps and spillage for maximum mesmerizing disorientation. New York premiere.
Tickets: $15 (Free for members at the Film Lover level and MoMI Kids Premium levels and above). Order tickets online. (Members may contact [email protected] with questions regarding online reservations.)
