Fist and Sword presents a screening and discussion with actor/director/martial artist Robert Samuels about his career transition from being an actor in Hong Kong action films to becoming an independent filmmaker. Samuels is a charismatic speaker whose personal story and success with DIY filmmaking will instruct and inspire everyone—especially filmmakers and martial artists—who are frustrated and complain about lack of opportunity.
The program will include a preview of scenes from two episodes in his independent action series Final Contact and The Man from Tijuana.
The program runs approximately 120 minutes.
Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free for children under 3 and Museum members at the Film Lover and Kids Premium levels and above). Order tickets online. (Members may contact [email protected] with questions regarding online reservations.)
