Dir. Kelly Reichardt. 2013, 113 mins. Digital Projection. With Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, Peter Sarsgaard, Alia Shawkat. In Kelly Reichardt’s knotty eco-thriller, three young radical environmentalists collaborate on an act of dangerous protest: the explosion of a hydroelectric dam. A traumatized former marine (Sarsgaard), a radicalized girl of privilege (Fanning), and a self-made militant (Eisenberg), deeply, intractably committed to protecting the earth by any means necessary, the trio execute their mission only to be left with a myriad of consequences, from personal doubts and paranoia to external effects that might run counter to their convictions.
Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free or discounted for Museum members. Order tickets online. (Members may contact [email protected] with questions regarding online reservations.)
