Offers and Discounts
Please note: Due to reduced Museum hours during this initial reopening period, some policies have changed. Currently, Free Friday Hours are not being offered, until further notice. Other programs will be reinstated soon.
The Museum offers a variety of discounts on admissions, and Museum visitors and members also receive special discounts at various colleague institutions, movie theaters, and local restaurants.
Discounts on Admissions
- Free admission for New York City teachers with valid ID
- Free admission (regular screenings included) for United States active-duty military personnel and veterans with valid ID or service record
- Free admission via Culture Pass NYC (must reserve through this system and present a voucher) for NYC public library cardholders
- Free admission for New York City families registered with Cool Culture. Participating families are welcome for walk-up visits (must present Cool Culture card and a form of ID).
Discounts for Museum Visitors
- A 10% discount on nearby parking at PV Parking Corp, 34-11 Steinway Street (entrance on 41 Street, between 34 & 35 Avenue; wheelchair accessible). Your parking stub will need to be validated at the Museum's front desk.
Discounts for Museum Members
- Free admission to the Museum, including unlimited admission to the Museum’s galleries
- Discounted tickets ($7) to regular screenings for Members
- A 15% discount on nearby parking at PV Parking Corp (34-11 Steinway Street). Your parking stub will need to be validated at the Museum's front desk.
